Bencis is looking to recruit an intern to support the Investent team in our Brussels office

Since 1999, Bencis has concluded more than 70 investments. With our experienced investment teams in Brussels, Amsterdam and Dusseldorf, we invest in companies valued between €20m – €150m out of our Fund VI with €575m in committed capital.
As an Investment Analyst Intern you will work alongside our investment professionals and will be involved in, a.o:
• Assisting the investment team in reviewing and recommending new investment opportunities;
• Performing independent market research and identifying suitable opportunities;
• Conducting business due diligence on live deals as part of the execution team (commercial and financial due diligence, financial modelling, etc);
• Supporting portfolio companies and management teams on strategic and operational topics.
We are seeking ambitious and entrepreneurial candidates who can meet the following requirements:
• University education preferably with a degree in economics, science, or engineering (min. Bachelor);
• Strong analytical skills, notion of financial analysis and understanding of relevant value drivers;
• Well-organised, down-to-earth, pro-active team player with a passion for business & finance;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work under tight deadlines;
• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English and Dutch.
We offer a unique opportunity to gain work experience in the private equity investment space and join a highly dynamic and collaborative investment team in Bencis’ Brussels office. You will be fully involved in the investment process (sourcing, due diligence, portfolio management and exit), and have the ability to hone your business skills and industry insights. Guidance and mentoring will be provided where relevant.
We offer compensation in line with industry standards in combination with excellent tutoring. Additionally, upon successful completion of the internship, many of our interns hold the necessary skillset to successfully start and further pursue their careers in related fields, including a.o. Investment Banking, Consulting and Business Development.
We offer various internships during the year for a period of 4-6 months (min. of 2.5 months during summer period). We have vacancies from April 2023 onwards.
