Impact & Sustainability

Our mission

A better world, through better companies

Since our inception in 1999, Bencis has created a distinctive company culture around three key objectives: Inspiration, Improvement and Integrity. At Bencis, we find it important that we, and our portfolio companies, conduct business in a responsible, reliable and transparent way. What you see is what you get, and as we put it: we do what we say, and we say what we do. We have long relied on these objectives to govern our way of doing business in an informal way. For us, this company culture secures responsible investment effectively. Bencis is committed to have a maximum positive impact on all its portfolio companies in the realm of ESG and CSR. We have been consistently rated by our LPs and have been awarded scores of 4.8 / out of 5.0 and 1 / 4 to 1. We take ESG and CSR into consideration in all our investment decisions and act long-term and consciously.

Empowering growth

Since our inception in 1999, Bencis has created a distinctive company culture around three key objectives: Inspiration, Improvement & Integrity.

INTEGRITY

We find it important that we, and our portfolio companies, conduct business in a responsible, reliable and transparent way. What you see is what you get.

INSPIRATION

We believe that long term success can only be created by passionate people operating as a team.

IMPROVEMENT

We continuously strive for, and focus on, better performance. Results and financial returns are a consequence of what we do, not an objective in itself. We believe that long term success follows hard work and incremental improvement.

OUR PORTFOLIO

Our portfolio companies turn sustainability into practice every day

Social impact

Clinias

Clinias, is making dental care accessible to groups who struggle to reach regular healthcare. Under its Europe Medicare brand, its mobile dental practice grew this year to 21 trucks across 60 locations throughout the Netherlands, with real-time translation support for patients who don’t speak the language. Clinias also partners with straatartsen010 to reach homeless patients in Rotterdam and expanded its emergency dental care to 28 clinics. Today, Clinias reaches the most excluded groups in healthcare, from prisoners and the elderly to schoolchildren and residents of asylum centres.

ESG integration in production

Härtha Group

Härtha Group has developed its own AI-based tool to optimise production processes. The tool improves workflows and equipment utilisation, cutting energy use and reducing material waste. Following a successful pilot at the Weißenburg site, it is now being rolled out to further production locations, a concrete step in Härtha’s decarbonisation roadmap.

Nature-inclusive business

Samenwerkende Kinderopvang

At Samenwerkende Kinderopvang, playing outdoors in nature is part of the pedagogical approach: children spend at least an hour outside every day on average. Outdoor spaces are now redesigned as standard to be nature-inclusive and biodiversity-rich, replacing artificial turf with unpaved, "muddy" play areas. Research shows that children in these environments develop stronger language skills and creativity, build greater physical resilience, and form a lasting connection with nature from an early age.

Climate innovation

Eurorad

Eurorad, a provider of business bike leasing solutions, launched an online CO₂ calculator in 2025 that lets customers see at a glance how much emissions they save by cycling or e- biking instead of driving. The tool translates cycling distance directly into avoided CO₂ and everyday equivalents, making the climate benefit of bike leasing tangible, for companies and individual riders alike.
