After obtaining his degree in Business Administration in Rotterdam, Jaap began his career with Aral AG in Germany. He then moved on to become General Manager Central Europe at the Burger King Cooperation. In 2004 he joined the Board of Directors of Kamps AG, where he managed the group’s retail activities. Together with a private equity partner, Jaap executed a buyout of the division and then managed the company’s strategic repositioning in his capacity as shareholder. In 2016 he continued his career at Gilde Equity Management as an Associate Partner. Jaap has been a member of the Bencis team since 2018. Aside from his position with Bencis, he also has several personal investments and holds several supervisory board memberships.
