Prinsen B.V. from Helmond is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and has been awarded the Royal Predicate by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander in this special year. On Saturday, October 12, 2024, the company received the Royal Predicate during a festive gathering at Sojadijk 2, presented by the King’s Commissioner Ida Adema and the Mayor of Helmond, Elly Blanksma.
The official founding date of the family business is May 1, 1924. Since 1981, Prinsen B.V. has been located in Helmond. Three generations of the Prinsen family led the company until 2005. Since 2017, the name Prinsen Berning has been used for the daily operations of the companies under the parent company EPF Group B.V.
The management proudly received the news that the Dutch branch of the international company ‘Prinsen Berning – Active Nutrition’, the Helmond-based company ‘Prinsen B.V.’ has received a Royal Decoration. The company may now call itself ‘Royal Prinsen B.V.’ (Koninklijke Prinsen B.V.), an acknowledgment that further underscores its position as the market leader in active nutrition in Europe in functional powders and bars. “This decoration is a confirmation of reliability as a business partner for our customers and an inspiration to continue building growth with healthy and innovative functional nutrition in Powders and Bars together with our trading partners,” says Bas van den Berg, Chief Executive Officer of Prinsen Berning.
Prinsen Berning has developed into a leading European player in the active nutrition market. The product lines include Sports Nutrition, Meal Replacement products for weight loss, Special supplementary nutrition for toddlers, the elderly, etc., as well as instant Cappuccinos, Chocolate drinks, and Coffee Creamers. The powders and bars produced at Prinsen Berning are now sold to nearly 100 customers and reach more than 80 countries worldwide. Prinsen Berning develops and produces for the largest international brands and provides private labels for numerous large supermarket chains in Europe.
